Between our collection and local car clubs and enthusiasts\, you can see over 1\,000 classic vehicles among all the additional museum exhibits! \nPart of a car club? Fill out the form below and bring them in! \nNot part of a club but want to show off your collector car? No problem! The kora is a 21-stringed West African harp traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots\, and many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800-year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Gaskell will be performing in the Hot Shop accompanied by live glassblowing by Hilltop Artists. \nThis is a multi-sensory experience not to be missed. Fun for all ages\, and FREE with support from Tacoma Creates! \nThis performance is part of Museum of Glass free-admission Third Thursday programming. The group will take the stage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday\, August 4\, during National Night Out and Tuesday\, August 25\, for the Summer Sounds season finale. United by Music North America is a Gig Harbor-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses the power of music to mentor and provide performance opportunities for neurodivergent and differently-abled individuals. Through mentorship and live performances\, the organization supports exceptional musical talent while helping performers build confidence on stage. “We are excited to welcome United by Music North America to Summer Sounds\,” said Rosalyn Rochac-Finnegan\, Tourism Director for Visit Gig Harbor. “Summer Sounds is about bringing our community together through music\, and these performances are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local talent and create a stage where every performer can shine.” “What a joy to kick off our new partnership with the beloved Summer Sounds of Skansie during these two shows in the 2026 season! United by Music America is honored to be invited to present the opening music for the 2027 series of featured Summer Sounds concerts.
