SUMMARY:Washington families can save with confidence with GET
DESCRIPTION:Washington families can save with confidence with GET \nState-backed GET Prepaid 529 can be used for nearly any post-high school education or training \n  \nOlympia—Washington’s popular Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) program opens Friday\, November 1 for a new enrollment period\, providing families a fresh opportunity to start saving for future education and career training costswhile their children are young. The 2024-2025 enrollment period runs through May 31\, 2025\, and provides a unique opportunity to prepay future education costs by locking in today’s rates. The unit purchase price for the new enrollment period is $123.76. \nGET is a 529 prepaid tuition program\, carrying a state-backed guarantee that units purchased today will always keep pace with in-state college tuition costs. “GET savers can literally buy tomorrow’s education at today’s price\, whether they plan to use those funds five\, 10\, or even 18 years from now\,” says Washington College Savings Plans director\, Luke Minor. \nSavers can open a new GET account with as little as $25\, making it easy to start saving. Savings in a GET account grow tax-free and are not subject to the ups and downs of financial markets\, so families can save with confidence. \nWashington residents who want to help a student save for future education costs can open a GET or DreamAhead account online at 529.wa.gov with no enrollment fee. The website also offers details\, charts\, planning tools\, and answers to questions. The GET contact center is ready to help at 800-955-2318 or GETInfo@wsac.wa.gov. For questions about DreamAhead\, the DreamAhead contact center can be reached at 844-529-5845. \n

SUMMARY:Goblet Week Returns at The Museum of Glass
DESCRIPTION:of glassosssssssss \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGoblet Week returns January 15–19\, 2025!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGoblet Week\nJanuary 15–19\nGoblet making has long been a tradition across many cultures worldwide. \nIn the Pacific Northwest\, artists and makers have been steeped in the Italian approach to glassmaking through the Studio Glass movement\, and Venetian-style goblets are a fixture in our local glassmaking scene. These goblets are notable for their thinness and complexity. As our culture becomes increasingly dependent on technology\, it also becomes detached from the handmade. Goblet Week began with the mission to highlight the magic of handmade functional glass pieces — specifically\, Venetian-style goblets. \nGoblet Week will feature five Visiting Artists who are some of the best in the game in this style: Jason Christian\, Jen Elek\, Jason McDonald\, and Michael Schunke. \nEach artist will spend their day in the Hot Shop showcasing their unique approach to making goblets (or “cups\,” as they are affectionately called by the artists). On Sunday\, the Museum of Glass Hot Shop Team will take center stage and conclude the week making their signature goblet designs. Sunday’s programming will also feature a lecture on Venetian goblets by Hot Shop Emcee Walter Lieberman at 1pm. Each day\, audiences will learn about the different techniques and processes used by each artist in their goblet designs. See below for more about the artists. \nAdditionally\, Museum of Glass will host an Artist Reception + Wine Tasting and Goblet Sale the evening of Saturday\, January 18. \nWe’ll see you at Goblet Week!

SUMMARY:Ms Holmes & Ms Watson – Apt 2B
DESCRIPTION:Harlequin Productions Introduces Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt 2B \nAn irreverent\, darkly comic modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous sleuth and sidekick – a fast-paced romp that re-examines the classic adventure stories you love with a bold new female lens. In this highly theatrical\, small-cast escapade\, oddball female roommates Sherlock (yes\, it’s also a girl’s name – wait\, is it a girl’s name? Is it even a name?) Holmes & Dr. Joan Watson join forces to emerge from the pandemic fog as a deeply codependent\, quasi-dysfunctional\, Odd Couple adventure duo… solving mysteries and kicking butts\, until they come face to face with a villain who seems to have all of the answers.
