The Northwest’s largest automobile collection is opening their doors again this summer for the 48th LeMay Annual Show on Saturday, August 29th. Held at the LeMay Collections at Marymount in the Parkland/Spanaway area, the event is free to the public from 9 am to 4 pm.
Visitors can explore more than 800 vehicles from the LeMay Collection, encompassing a wide range of types and models. Between the LeMay Collection and local car clubs and private collectible owners, there will be more than 1,000 classic vehicles on display across multiple locations.
According to Tono Sablan, Executive Director of LeMay Family Collection Foundation, “For nearly 50 years the LeMay Family has put on a family-friendly car show for our community with the support of over 200 volunteers who make the show happen. We are thrilled to open our doors once again here on the Marymount campus for what is sure to be a fantastic car show!”
The event includes various food trucks and vendors, the ability to view the Marymount Military Academy & historic 1920’s Chapel or check out Museum Exhibits and walk the collector car show field. And, if you’re interested in going to the LeMay Private Garages on C St. it’s only a $20 fee for adults, kids 0-17 are free. The fee includes a shuttle to and from the private garages.
If you are not part of an organized car club but want to show off your collector car at the event just enter through the front gate at 325 152nd Street East. Spots are first come, first serve with the show beginning at 9 am sharp.
There is parking near the event’s general admission entrance at 14601 4th Ave E for event attendees. “Be sure to check out this year’s feature car: a 1959 Edsel Wagon and our exhibits celebrating the Centennial of Route 66 and America’s 250th Anniversary,” said Sablan.
Even the casual car enthusiast will enjoy this event, but a serious one will be in heaven.
