At Dinner With Heart, the 210 heartfelt guests in attendance listened as Dave and Lynn Welbourn shared their experience as parents of a stroke survivor. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they described the emotional journey, initial shock and challenges of their daughter’s stroke and recovery. Their daughter is Emily Welbourn, the American Heart Association’s development director, who organizes Dinner With Heart.
The evening’s auctioneer was Kevin Joyce, with a special appearance by live-auction celebrity reader and KOMO News reporter Keith Eldridge, who survived a heart attack a year ago. Total funds raised during the event were $187,000, which support the work of the American Heart Association.
