Heritage Skills Workshop: Tin Smithing
March 2, 10am – 3:30pm Tin Cup/Mug
Each student may choose from either a drinking mug or a pouringer of similar design and both based on historic examples. They are made with simple tin smithing hand forming methods and techniques using tinsmith hand tools. All necessary tools and supplies will be provided.
March 3, 10am – 3:30pm, Candlesticks/Wall Scones
In this class, make tinplate candle holders in several styles and a tinplate wall sconce. You will learn simple tin smithing hand-forming methods and techniques using tinsmith hand tools. All necessary tools and supplies will be provided.
