Conductor Jeffery Meyer and extraordinary double bassist Xavier Foley join Northwest Sinfonietta for this season finale concert. Mr. Foley will perform Bottesini’s virtuosic Gran duo concertante and his own composition, For Justice and Peace, with Sinfonietta Concertmaster Denise Dillenbeck. Clarice Assad’s playful Suite for Lower Strings opens this final concert of the season, which closes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, a sublime epic filled with Beethoven’s optimism in the face of adversity, and hope for the future.
