Heritage Skills Workshop: Tinsmithing: Cookie Cutters
March 4, 10am
Heritage Skills Workshops preserve traditional skills through instruction, demonstration, and experiential learning. Participants will make simple cookie cutters, with a safe edge. Three methods will be discussed and explored, including simple measured forming, using a story stick pattern, and using a block bending jig. Tinsmith methods to be covered include: folding metal using mallets over stakes, forming curves around a mandrel, and soldering joints. All necessary tools and supplies will be provided.
