The Gig Harbor Film Festival (GHFF) has another worldclass lineup for their four-day run September 26-29, 2024! The Galaxy Theatres in Gig Harbor will be showcasing this intimate festival experience for local and visiting fans of independent film.
With five screens and over 65 indie films, there is something for everyone—a blend of feature length and shorts, documentaries, and Made in Washington films. Many films will have a lively Q&A session post-screening so passholders can meet the creatives behind their new favorite film.
For Opening Night on September 26, the curtain will rise on the World Premiere of The Dawgfather: The Legacy of Don James. Coach James left an indelible mark on the lives he touched both on and off the Husky football field in his 22-year career.
Following the screening of this captivating human interest story, there will be a dynamic Q&A with director Kent Loomer and lifelong “James Gang” members featured in the film.
In addition to the films (all shown twice) there are multiple parties and events throughout the festival. The highlight every year is the private Meet the Filmmakers Party held at a stunning waterfront estate in Gig Harbor.
The local community is invited to enjoy Monday Movie Nights year-round at 6:30pm the last Monday of each month. (Tickets can be purchased at galaxytheatres.com.)
Whether it’s a one-night screening or the four-day festival, the GHFF is all about cultivating a sense of community and celebrating the power of the cinematic arts. Come see why the GHFF remains one of the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals in the world by FilmFreeway!
