This high-performing staff was one of the reasons behind the addition of the Central Academy of Dental Assisting, a new dental assistant training program located at their new Tacoma location on 6th Avenue. “We realized we had an abundance of talent on our staff that could pass along their current, up-to-date knowledge through an accelerated program for dental assistants,” said Hogan recently.
Through the focused course program with classes in the morning and hands-on training in the afternoon, students of the program get to work in real life, trained by people currently practicing. “We can actually get students up and running faster by doing it hands on and it allows our current staff the opportunity for professional growth.”
Bundled with the new Tacoma location, Light Dental Studios recently added a Bellevue and Lynnwood location bringing their ‘hub and spoke’ model to locations throughout the Puget Sound. Meaning, they operate a few big offices which house the specialty dentists to meet the needs of patients with more complex issues, while also operating smaller offices spread out in various communities to allow for those patients that prefer a more intimate atmosphere. “We want to be where our patients are.”
