Summer is a fantastic season in the Puget Sound when we can take in the vast beauty of the mountains and waterways that surround us. There’s no better way to celebrate the summer than a fun, outdoor event like the LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) Cars & Cigars event on Saturday, August 2nd. From 6-10 pm, attendees will be treated to a Latin inspired live band, three different participating restaurants serving delicious bites, a full bar serving signature drinks, a photo booth and a DJ, plus tips in cigar rolling, corn hole and more.
“This really is a party to celebrate members of our community,” said Jake Welk, Marketing Manager for ACM. The event is located exclusively on the Museum’s Plaza. “I think it is the highlight of the Tacoma Summer schedule because it’s perfect for people who like an elevated outdoor party with wonderful food and signature cocktails.”
Ticket holders receive a cigar with their purchase, but more can be purchased from an on-site cigar vendor and people are encouraged to bring their own if they prefer. The 2025 Cars & Cigars is changing things up with the addition of three well-known and loved local restaurants cooking in front of attendees at the venue. Joining the fun are Stanley & Seafort’s, Table 47 Ocean5 and Anthony’s.
Planning the event this year is ACM’s new Signature Events Coordinator, Laura McDonough. “Each year the theme has differed for Cars & Cigars and this year we’re planning a 70’s vintage theme with throwback art, heavy in pastels,” said McDonough. Need inspiration on how to dress for the event, watch for a collage designed invitation to bring to life “The 70’s Social …. Light It Up and Turn It Up 70’s Style” theme.
Known for hosting a variety of events throughout the year, ACM steps up their game in the summer months.
