The newest exhibit at America’s Car Museum, The Birth of the American Supercar, will open on Saturday, October 25th. Curated by sports car legend, Steve Seleen of Saleen Automotive, this show is an immersive exhibit taking viewers on a journey through time from the first development of high-performance vehicles more than 100 years ago to the production of the modern Supercars we cherish today.
Opening day will be highlighted by appearances from Saleen as he mixes and mingles with spectators as they take in the wall exhibits and monitors telling this compelling story through interactive displays. “People will appreciate the way this display is built, and car enthusiasts will love the opportunity to see these special vehicles up close,” said Jake Welk, Marketing Director at ACM & AAT.
On display for a full year, these high-performance vehicles will include the Shelby Cobra, Ford GT, and of course some pretty cool Saleen autos like the S1 and S7. This show definitely celebrates America’s Love Affair with the automobile.
Bring the whole family to see The Birth of the American Supercar and also enjoy two family friendly events that are back due to popular demand – Trunk or Treat and Dia de Los Muertos.
Celebrate Halloween a bit early this year at ACM. On Saturday, October 25th from 4-7 pm there will be live entertainment, food trucks, raffles, and more to create Trunk or Treat. Exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their cars and bring their own treats to personally hand out during the event from the trunk of their car. The Museum will be open for extended hours, allowing people to also enjoy the new exhibition.
Then on Saturday, November 1st, everyone is invited to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos at ACM when they will be hosting a full day of festivities from 10 am to 5 pm featuring a vibrant mix of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
