Free Tuesday Night Concerts at Skansie Brothers Park, Celebrate Music, Community and America 250
Visit Gig Harbor and the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the 2026 Summer Sounds lineup, bringing live music back to the waterfront every Tuesday evening this summer at Skansie Brothers Park.
The beloved concert series kicks off July 7, 2026, with a special performance by the 133d Army Band, launching the season in celebration of America 250. This opening night performance honors the nation’s semi quincentennial while setting the tone for a summer of music, community, and waterfront sunsets in Gig Harbor.
Running weekly through August, Summer Sounds 2026 features a dynamic mix of regionally recognized tribute acts, high-energy party bands, and crowd favorites. The Mixed Tape returns as the only band from last year’s lineup, making a highly anticipated comeback after an outstanding response from audiences in 2025.
“Summer Sounds has become a signature Gig Harbor tradition, and this year’s lineup continues that legacy with an exciting blend of talent,” said Rosalyn Rochac-Finnegan, Tourism Director for Visit Gig Harbor. “Kicking off with the 133d Army Band in recognition of America 250 makes this season especially meaningful.”
Concerts are held Tuesdays at 6:00 PM at Skansie Brothers Park, offering free, family- friendly entertainment in one of Gig Harbor’s most scenic waterfront settings. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs and enjoy the park, local dining, and nearby shopping before or after each show.
As part of the opening weeks, the American Legion will host a hot dog fundraiser at the park on July 7, July 14, and July 21, with proceeds supporting local veterans and community programs. Outside of these select dates, all food and dining options are provided by Gig Harbor’s local restaurants and businesses, encouraging concertgoers to support the local economy.
