If you know what a “longroof” is then you will want to attend the 6th Annual WagonFest PNW event at LeMay – America’s Car Museum on Sunday, September 24th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. And, if you don’t know what a longroof is, then you’ll want to come learn at this free, fun for the entire family event.
With over 400 station wagons on display featuring old and new, foreign and domestic, long roof and longer roof models, WagonFest is the largest station wagon event in the Universe. Avants Car Clubs, the ultimate community for the car enthusiast, is the producer of the WagonFest events.
“This annual event is great for general spectators and wagon enthusiasts alike,” said Avants’ Events and Community Director, Krissy Wells. She added, “these events bring out so many memories for people … whether it reminds them of a movie, or their grandparents had one, or maybe Dad always picked them up from school in a wagon.”
Top Gear US, television show for car lovers, featured WagonFest recently posing the question “do Americans really dislike station wagons?” https://youtu.be/M5TpDP9dTGA?si=Lv-PBY2g8EoJE7f2 Based on Avants overwhelming response to their WagonFest events throughout the nation, it appears longroofs truly are well loved.
Avants is a premier membership program for gearheads founded seven years ago by the biggest wagon nerd out there, Adam Cramer. With more than 3,000 members, Avants was actually named for Cramer’s love of the Audi Avant station wagon.
Attendees of the event can make a family day of it by then visiting the Car Museum. There will be a DJ entertaining attendees, as well as food trucks Fat Zack’s Pizza truck and Bean Water Espresso to keep them happy.
According to Wells, “Avants is thrilled to be partnering with LeMay on this event because of a strong collaboration, but also because Tacoma is a great area for our exhibitors to travel to.For more information about WagonFest PNW, visit https://www.avants.com/events/2023/9-24/wagonfest-pnw
