Supporters gathered at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium for Wild Greens, The Zoo Society’s annual Long Table Dinner & Auction. The golf-themed celebration kicked off with a lively cocktail hour on the main lawn featuring animal encounters, mini golf, a Happy Gilmore-inspired trick shot, and mouthwatering bites from local chefs. Guests then moved to the plaza for a four-course dining experience crafted by three culinary masters, all set against sweeping views of the zoo, Mt. Rainier, and a glowing sunset.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, The Zoo Society raised more than $132,000 to expand its field trip scholarship program with the goal of serving every school district in Pierce County. As one middle school student shared after their field trip visit: “Thank you for giving us this chance. I’ve never been to a zoo before.”
