Inside Natalie & Nick Dishart’s Wedding Day

For bride Natalie Dishart, the vision was clear from the very beginning: her wedding needed to feel like a fairytale — not the stiff, traditional kind, but something imaginative, colorful, and delightfully whimsical. “Our vision was to have a very whimsical, fairytale wedding,” she said. “I took a lot of inspiration from Coraline, Alice in Wonderland, and La La Land.” That blend of quirky charm, dreamy color, and cinematic magic became the heartbeat of the entire celebration.
While Carnation Farms provided an event coordinator to manage the schedule, it was wedding designer Deanna Polito who transformed Natalie’s ideas into a living, breathing storybook. “She truly made our wedding come to life,” Natalie shared. “She helped procure all of the materials, vases, flowers and everything. She also helped put together the colors, find a theme, and make sure everything fit together and was our dream.” With Deanna’s guidance, the wedding became a curated world of playful details and thoughtful artistry.

One of the most unforgettable surprises came at the sweetheart table. Natalie had expected it to be beautiful with flowers behind them, soft lights glowing, but the final reveal left her speechless. “It blew us out of the water to see how incredible our table, the flowers, and the lights looked,” she said. It became the centerpiece of the evening, a glowing vignette that felt lifted straight from a movie.
Natalie also shared heartfelt advice for brides feeling overwhelmed by trends and opinions. “It’s really easy for brides to feel pressured by family, friends, and social media to have a specific, trendy wedding,” she said. “It’s your wedding! You get married once, so plan it your way rather than anyone else’s.”

When asked about her favorite memory, she couldn’t choose just one but she and her groom Nick remember that greeting guests stood out. “It was so great to be able to see everyone and say hi to all the people who came out to support us.”
A whimsical wedding, in Natalie’s world, isn’t just a theme — it’s a feeling. And her and Nicks wedding was a dream come true.
