All Kids Wins provides consistent weekend food bags for students who do not have adequate nutrition. Each week students 48 schools in Thurston County receive food. 501(c)3 non-profit aims to end the cycle of hunger and housing insecurity one student at a time. Students are more able to focus on school and ultimately graduate.
Growing numbers of students and their families face fundamental challenges. “It’s amazing we can meet the demand through donations,” says Matthew Klifman, Board Chair Elect. Food costs alone for each bag are $10.02.
Volunteers are integral to every aspect of All Kids Win. Klifman started as a volunteer and soon became a board member. “When I was at a community event, Kelly was giving a talk about Homeless Backpacks (now All Kids Win). I realized what the program was, and I knew people who were receiving the resources. I had to jump in with both feet,” he recalls.
“I have had people help me get to where I am today. I have been fortunate in my life and can contribute to others. The generosity in our community is expressed through loving, caring and compassionate acts. It’s incredible,” adds Klifman.
Kelly Wilson is the founder and long-time community activist. “I am winding down my time as Chair of All Kids Win and Matthew is stepping into my role. The transition will be complete in 2026. Matthew is the perfect person to lead All Kids Win,” says Wilson.
Many Ways to Support All Kids Win –
People can sign up as individuals or gather groups for bagging parties. Other volunteers prep and organize food for these events. A bevy of drivers pick up and deliver the hundreds of bags each week. How about heading a food drive for specific items? Pope John Paul II High School hosts an annual chili drive and delivered over 1,000 cans this year. Businesses can become bag sponsors. You may be interested to help with a special event or become part of the board. Financial donations are greatly appreciated.
All Kids Win helps students achieve their goals and dreams by finishing high school. They can focus on their work instead of finding food.
