Known for its rustic atmosphere, Puyallup’s Crockett’s Public House is located on East Stewart Avenue. Housed in a former feed store, it serves a full bar, burgers, hand-cut fries, and comfort food. Crockett’s celebrates the history of Puyallup as a train town through their décor, memorabilia and menu.
“Customers love to look at photos and recall where they were and what they were doing at that time in their lives,” said Misty Monroe, Director of Operations for Crockett’s Restaurant Group. “I’ve even heard someone say ‘hey, that’s me’ when looking at a photo.”
Well-known for featured housemade items like grilled artichokes, pub meatballs, and chicken and waffles, Crockett’s likes to mix things up with seasonally-inspired menus.
This summer, customers will find new appetizers like the roasted cauliflower with Greek yogurt and tzatziki sauce and fabulous chicken strips. “We know a lot of restaurants do chicken strips, but we really worked on the recipe to make sure we got them right,” Monroe said recently.
In addition, the summer menu now hosts some wonderful new cocktails, including a coconut margarita and a watermelon refresher. The menu and cocktail list focus on using the highest quality and locally-sourced ingredients to ensure every visit to Crockett’s Public House is memorable.
When asked why the Puyallup location is special, Monroe said, “We have really good food and good service. I think our customers enjoy seeing the same servers on return visits and having the same great experience every time.”
With over 35 years in the restaurant business, Crockett’s Restaurant Group takes pride in renovating buildings of historic value and renewing them. If you like the charm of Crockett’s, you’ll want to check out the other restaurants in the Crockett’s Restaurant Group, also located in downtown Puyallup, Like the Meridian café. And right next door is Trackside Pizza. Each restaurant features a warm, historical theme with the same great food quality.
Open for breakfast “camp” on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to noon, Crockett’s Public House offers a wide range of breakfast options with their own unique twist. Items include a portobello and goat cheese taco, Dungeness crab omelettes, and a hangover burger with jalapeños, two eggs sunny side up and bacon strips.
