Tacoma’s Wright Park will transform into a festival of international sights and sounds during the last weekend of July. MOSAIC: Tacoma’s Arts & Culture Festival features dance, music, art and food from over a dozen different countries July 26 and 27.
Performances from community groups will be held both days on two different stages highlighting traditional art forms from India, Cambodia, Thailand, Guam, Samoa, Tahiti, Hawaii, Mexico and beyond. Dancing, live music and even a lucha libre exhibition match will thrill the audience.
Saturday evening put on those boogie shoes and hit the grass in front of the main stage for an electric performance from Triple Treat. This seven-member band will fill the park with old-school cool as they play classic R&B tunes with a Motown twist. Sunday on the main stage brings the return of MOSAIC’s much-anticipated Gospel showcase featuring performances by choirs and artists from across the northwest.
You’ll be able to hear the music from all over the park, including a kid’s zone with entertainment especially for younger festival goers and a sprayground.
Stroll through vendor village to explore nearly 100 different booths featuring multicultural artists and crafts, local businesses and Tacoma community groups, agencies and services. Food trucks will offer a wide range of international cuisines and festival staples to meet any craving.
Need a break from the crowds? A sensory-friendly space is being provided near the basketball court. The tent will offer sensory-calming activities and tools for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Getting to MOSAIC is a breeze. Street parking is available, but limited, so Parks Tacoma encourages visitors to carpool or ride public transportation.
