Pierce College Fort Steilacoom is excited to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Olympic South Building. After undergoing extensive renovations, Olympic South is reopening as a modern, multipurpose learning and engagement space that will support students, faculty, and the broader community for years to come.
On April 23, college leadership, students, faculty, staff, and the community came together to celebrate the newly transformed Olympic South Building.
“This building is the definition of a radically welcoming learning space that promotes discovery, creativity, and community,” said Pierce College Fort Steilacoom President Matt Campbell. “This renovation advances our mission to create quality educational opportunities for a diverse community of learners to thrive in an evolving world.”
The Olympic South Building has been transformed to house state-of-the-art classrooms, faculty offices, study spaces, rehearsal areas, an art gallery, and Pierce College’s Early Childhood Education program Lab School, in partnership with Clover Park School District. Additionally, the third level hosts Central Washington University’s Pierce County extension site, providing expanded educational opportunities for students in the region.
“Our mission is at the heart of all we do,” said Pierce College Chancellor and CEO Julie White. “Olympic South truly reflects our mission and gives us space where everyone in our community can belong, advance, and thrive.”
