This spring, the community came together in support of women’s heart and brain health at the American Heart Association’s annual Puget Sound Go Red for Women Experience. Showcase Magazine was a proud media sponsor. The mission of fighting cardiovascular disease was front and center as heart disease and stroke remain women’s leading cause of death.
During the event, Florence Chang, 2026 Puget Sound Go Red for Women chair and president of MultiCare Health System, emphasized the importance of empowering women with knowledge and resources so they can advocate for their health with confidence. The event celebrated survivors and raised an impressive $870,000 to advance lifesaving research, education and advocacy efforts.
