Alpenfire Orchards & Cider

Get all fired up for a tour and cider tasting with owners Steve “Bear” and Nancy Bishop. The Bishops planted their fruit trees in 2003, and the beautiful orchard was certified organic in 2005. They are the first and only producer of organic hard sparkling cider in Washington state. During your visit ask about the fire-cleaning process that Steve pioneered to remove pests from the orchards.

Built in the 1800s, the quaint building was once the home of Samuel Hadlock, founder of the town. Guests are invited to wear a hat from the vast collection during their visit. The café’s talented culinary team uses fresh local ingredients to create memorable cuisine, including local seafood, fruits and vegetables. Tip: Try the clam chowder.

Owner/operator Nash Huber has been growing healthy food, saving farmland and training future farmers for over 30 years. The team at Nash’s produces over 100 varieties of vegetables, fruits, grains, freshly ground flours, eggs, seeds and pork year round in the Dungeness Valley. “It takes 10 years to train a good
farmer,” says Nash.
