Something special is happening in Tacoma’s culinary scene as Woven prepares to welcome back its founder, celebrated Chef Roy Yamaguchi, for two unforgettable evenings on November 12 and 13.
Chef Roy will reunite with Executive Chef Dexter Mina, a longtime colleague from his days in Hawaii, for a collaborative dining experience that brings together two talented chefs, shared history, and a passion for exceptional food. Guests can look forward to one shared menu, two nights of incredible flavors, and a unique culinary experience where the tastes of the islands meet the flavors of the bay.
For Chef Dexter, the opportunity to work alongside his longtime colleague and mentor is especially exciting. “I’m very excited to work alongside the legend himself Chef Roy on this special two-night event! It will be filled with delicious food, tasty drinks, good vibes and good times!”
But this culinary reunion is just the beginning. The two chefs will join forces once again in January for a four-day cooking demonstration at the Tacoma Home & Garden Show, where Woven will serve as the presenting sponsor. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the chefs share their knowledge, creativity, and love of cooking through live demonstrations.
From the kitchen at Woven to the demonstration stage at the Home & Garden Show, this partnership celebrates friendship, culinary creativity, and the joy of bringing people together through food.
For Tacoma food lovers, November’s special dinners are an opportunity to experience something truly memorable—and a taste of what’s still to come.
