For Jan Furey and her husband, Paul Thompson, finding the property that was perfect for them outweighed their need to move closer to family and new grandchildren. Over a period of nearly six years, Jan and Paul looked for their next home while they worked on their current home in Edgewood to increase its value and get it sale ready.

If there was ever a situation during all that extended time I felt we couldn’t handle a project or bid it out ourselves, we knew we could rely on Kathy.” Jan and Paul had lived in this spot for nearly 35 years, so they used a pre-inspection to tell them what needed to be done and used Kathy’s expertise to determine what items would increase value the most.
When Jan and Paul found the right property, they knew they had to act quickly and made a non-contingent offer knowing their current property was ready to go on market. “Fortunately, we had prepared their Edgewood home well, so we could rapidly get it on the market,” Kleber said. “We refreshed the home inspection to ensure it was current, addressed a few small items, and they began packing to help make the home ready for photos and showings.”
